Hi parents and students,
Just like to enquire whether it is wasting a chance when my son achieved 15 points in O level and want to apply Ngee Ann Poly as first choice or other ways of of application to get In?What other polys are also reputable for their business courses?
Thanks

It depends on what the cut off point is for the various courses available at the respective ploys. So, to answer the thread title, it depends on what the cut off point is for offering Accountancy at NP. Use last year's cut off point as a guide. The poly will not be able to tell u the cut off point for this year yet.

NP is not the only poly that offers good business courses. You can also consider looking at Singapore Poly and Temasek Poly.

Also, do note that within the Business Schools, there are several diplomas available. For example, banking and finance, marketing, hospitality and tourism events management, etc. And each diploma under the Business School in the respective poly will have its own cut-off point.

Might be risky to apply for Accountancy if the COP is 11. Maybe can check out other polys? But if your heart is set on NP, can look at their other business courses. Understand that Banking & Finance is fairly popular with students too.

not sure how the JPSAE works though. Best to go there to ask their lecturers directly

The COPs for most business course in the Poly are very low, around 12 and below. Hence, you may want to drop by the Polys to seek advice on your choices. Most of info such as COP and JPSAE are available in their websites as well.
