Hello parents (:

I received my O level results 2 days ago and I got 11 points. After deduction of CCA points, it's 10 points.

I'm considering to go into the science stream of Nanyang JC or Meridian JC, but both JC's cut of point is 9.

Would I stand a chance getting into either one of the JC?

My results are:

English - B3
Combined Humanities - A1
Mathematics - A2
Add. Maths - B3
Chemistry - B4
Science ( Physics/Bio ) - A1
Chinese - A1 ( regretted a lot on not taking HCL haha.. )

Also, Catholic JC is also a choice for me as it's COP is 10 points, but I'm not a Catholic and fear that I may not fit in with the crowd. I've also heard that there's morning prayers & other religious functions which I do not think I may be interested to attend. Is it compulsory for me to attend these functions if I got into CJC?

Thank you for reading this and sorry for being so blur >_<

No matter how i look at it, your best chance under jae is still CJC.

As for the religious funtions, there's no such thing as compulsory to attend. If it's a morning prayer where the entire cohort is present, just remain silent. It's probably just a daily verse from the bible and maybe some testimonies to share. The school will never ask u to undertake any activities which are mean only for believers anyway. One think for sure, they would bless the cohort! There are many non-catholics in this jc too.

All in all, nothing to loose but something good to look to if u decided to work hard in CJC.
