Which university for Computing?

Postby KZZ » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:15 pm

I have a child who is choosing his university.

Can anyone tell me if I should send him to NUS/NTU/SMU for computer science or computing related courses?

How about foreign universities?

Thanks!

What does your child want to work as/in after graduating?

If you can afford it, go for foreign universities.
Take a look at this ranking of top comp sci schools in USA.
I'd say USA is still leading in almost every conceivable academic discipline.

Can also try Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD). There is a pillar of study related to IT which students can opt after completing 3 semesters. The pillar of study is called Information Systems Technology and Design.
