Subject Combination in JC

I'm asking on behalf of a friend. What subject combination should one take in JC if one intends to go to Medicine or Law faculty? Or Engineering? Thanks.

For NUS medicine, one must take H2 chemistry (C) and H2 physics (P) or H2 biology (B). So the popular subject combination is usually BCME or PCME (M : Maths, E : Econs), although any contrasting subject can replace econs.
For NUS law, any subject combination will do because a good grade in GP and good A level results are most important.
For engineering, it depends on the type of engineering courses. Some require both H2 Chemistry and Physics. Others require either one. PCME (or any contrasting subject) should be a safe choice.

Thanks MandyMummy. For Law, is there a preference of History over Geography or it really doesn't matter?

Not that I know of. Most important are the good GP grade and near perfect University Admission Score. Also doing well in the interview is important.
