Hi, PSC OMS Open seems better in my opinion due to the open concept. i.e. if i'm not wrong, your child will get to choose the ministry he/she wishes to work in after graduation. the other scholarship will restrict him/her. Thus, if your child is not quite sure of his/her interests yet, then, i would suggest taking a PSC OMS scholarship.

Unless things have changed a lot, I doubt the scholar has a free choice of ministry after graduation. A lot depends on academic performance, ranking, availability of positions, interviews etc. There will be some consultation of course, but it's not entirely the scholar's decision.

Anyone has kids who had taken up either PSC (OMS-Open) or EDB Scholarhsip can share what is it like after they are back to Singapore after completing their course?

Which scholarship gives the kids more control of what they want to do?
