Hybrid courses? what should i choose?

Postby Qingalisation » Sun Jan 13, 2013 6:40 pm

Hey. i got 14 for my GCE olevel. i have 4 bonus points. I would like to go for the hybrid courses. Since hybrid is a combination for science and arts, what stream do i have to put in my choices? science or arts? But there is another problem too. i like AJC. but the COP of AJC's science stream is 8, and their art stream is 10. what should i put as the first choice if i want the hybrid courses. Or should i just consider SRJC? Which is not as risky?

Hybrid course is considered under Science stream. However if you do hybrid, you cannot go into very specialised fields in Uni (medicine, engineering).

I think you should just go for science stream because it opens up the most doors in Uni. PCME gives you the most opportunities, but if you can't do Physics, BCME isn't a bad idea either.

Hmm really? Alrights. but if i just go for science stream, i dont have much choices left. is NYJC better or AJC? NYJC COP is 9, but AJC COP is 8.

AJC is stereotyped as a mugger school. Not sure if true or not. NY is more balanced between study and play, from what I've heard. Choose based on distance, imo.

Being off by 2 points VERY hard to appeal. Even off by 1 point difficult.. Especially since NYJC is VERY popular. About 4000 people apply for the 800 places.
