Hi so i'm new here. i'm currently in sec4 and about to have my o-level by the end of the year so i'm quite concerned about which jc to aim for.
basically, i'm in choir and my school went for syf and achieved Cert of Distinction. i'm quite a strong singer but i'm not the section leader since i transferred to this school in sec 3 and by then the election for the new committee is done. but i still want to try out for DSA for choir so may i ask anyone has entered to a school through dsa choir? (i'd prefer VJC and ACJC since i've seen them performed but any school can' i'd like to have wide range of choices anyway) can you tell me how did you appy and what was the process? what kind of singers are they looking for (is it based on which section of the choir needs members...)
i also want to go for dsa through academic. i am really good at maths and sciences but not so well at humans, my scores are
AM: A1
EM: A1
Chem: A1
Phy: A1
Bio: B3
Eng: B4
Geo: A1
Lit+SS: B4
so my l1r5 is 9. i want to aim for DSA to VJ, ACS(I) and after some info from the forum, maybe MJ or TJ. so can anyone give me some advice about what requirements each school need and whether that JC is too tough to aim for?
thank you!

I think you should just try for all of them! no harm trying :)

what every JC looks out for is different, you should check their website near dsa period where they'll start posting up stuff related to dsa or maybe go to the school and find out more :)
besides, given your experience, I think the lack of a leadership role shouldn't be that much of an impact because most of the time they're looking for the skills!
next year is SYF year, therefore JCs will reserve more slots for the performing arts. good luck!
