Is there anyone out there taking this subject? I'd like to find out more but my sources are limited

Hi my daughter is in Sec 4 now and keen to find out about this subject.

Is there any prerequisite for this subject? Like need to get A2 for English or Lit at O levels?

Is this subject recognised in overseas UK university or Australian U or in US?

For example, I hear some subjects like PRinciples of Accounting are not recognised?

Do all JCs offer this subject>?

My dd is taking this at RVHS for A lvl this year.

From my understanding, not all JC offer this subject and the student pool of this subject is very small. I heard this subject is very new in Singapore.

Hi! A friend of mine from RI(JC) is giving tuition for this subject. He participated in the International Linguistics Olympiad as well.

My boy in NJC is taking this subject this year, he is in senior high 1.

There was an assessment test last year for students interested to take up this course in senior high.

There is only class, with less than 20 students taking this course in this year senior high 1.

I am not aware of the uni recognition. My boy took up this course bcos he has interest.

Any idea how students who take ELL perform for exams? Is it a difficult subject? Which texts are recommended and useful?

Would like to know which is a good textbook for one taking this subject in JC1? Thanks.

Anyone has children who have taken ELL in last year's A Level Exam?
How did their school fare?

My child took this. Its a small cohort. I dont know how well the school did but last year was the last batch for my child's school. They no longer offer this subject in RV.
