I'm puzzled why no one mentioned ICT/Computer Science in this and the other NUS/NTU thread. Isn't it an up-and-coming hot course?

There's going to be a lot of ICT jobs downstream...as we strive to become a 'smart nation'.

Is yours a DD or DS? NS boys will only be offered SMU scholarships in the year they are matriculated unlike the other 2 unis.

Unrelated to Fairy's query on Acct/Biz...

There's a new course PLE @ SMU which I highly recommend to future applicants. However, it's not a law degree, in case u think u can become a lawyer hor.

It's similar to Oxford's PPE (WP NMP Leon Perera) but less prestigious, of course.


Great for those who intend to join Govt/ public sector, mgmt consultancy firms, SPH, MFA...

Offered SMU PLE. So will it be a pity to give up? Have offers and scholarships from the other 2 unis too. But SMU no news of scholarships. Is it must accept their course then offered scholarships?

Your DC must be one of the 45? Tough competition.

Not sure if you need to accept course first then be eligible for their scholarships. Call their registrar to enquire?

By letter. But if you login online to check, it's reflected, just that you're not notified via email. Received in March.

I think he submitted his application late march b4 1st apr due to bookout on weekends only
He went for SMU law interview n test 2 weeks ago
NO news yet
But PLE was 2nd choice
I just sms son to check his email
Hope to hear fm him soon

Sorry, maybe i wasn't clear. Don't need to check email. There won't be any email, at least for our case. It was a hard copy letter received in March. But you can check the smu online portal. If offer has been received, it will be reflected in the portal.
