We want the softcopies bec can keep for long. Serangoon Broadway doesnt provide and this is the issue.
Same for me. My suggestion is that you do what I did - just get a friend who is a decent photographer to take the shots for you. Your daughter can borrow the gown for a few weeks (no extra charge) and you can arrange a time and place at your convenience. Then you can go and get them printed at a photo shop or even at home. It's a bit more work, but you get to choose the size, the frame etc, and it's A LOT cheaper.

Getting someone to take photos should be easy - so many people take photos, and your daughter must have lots of friends who can do it. Find somewhere nice in your home (or someone else's home) or outside (on campus, park, beach...). We took the photos in my brother's house as his is much nicer than ours! We saw a lot of students taking photos on campus without their masks on (which was actually not allowed last year), but we decided to be more law-abiding.

most of the graduation photo packages give 8R, 11R and above photos. I dont need such big photos bec I dont hv much space to put the photo. 5R photo for family may be too small and 8R shld be just right. I want a 5R for individual too.

Hope you'll find a good solution. Anyway, thanks for the nudge! I've finally dug out a couple of pretty photo frames which I had prepared, and will print out the 5R photos soon. 10 mths after one graduation, and 8 mths after the other! We just replaced our old inkjet with a new laser printer, so it's good timing.

You mentioned you DIY.
Do you mean using hp to take photos and go to the Photo Studio to print out?
Appreciate to share the cost to print a 5R photo, pls.
Thank you.

I find that most of the graduation photo packages are very rigid eg insisting on one 8R and three 5R etc. I dont need so many photos as I dont know where to place them.

I think the DIY is more likely referring to digital camera (your own or friend’s) rather than handphone camera.

Actually, the person who took the photos (my sis-in-law's father!) used his iPhone. Another keen photographer friend of mine swears that the photos he takes with his iPhone are as good as most digital cameras. I can't compare, but his photos are great. I guess some phones have better cameras than others.

Yes, the photos were taken with an iPhone. Once you have the digital photos, you can either print them yourself if you have a decent printer that prints on photo paper (a lot of printers can these days), or you can bring the digital files to a photo shop (no need studio) to print (e.g. Standard Photo, Fotohub), or you can find a lot of online stores that will print and post them to you. I haven't used them, so I don't know how much it would cost. You can Google or just phone and ask.

I don't often print photos, but if I do, I will print them at home. You can buy photo paper of various sizes online or at stores (I usually buy online on Lazada). Unfortunately, they tend to come in fairly big packs of about 20-100 sheets per pack (depending on size and brand). It so happens that my daughter did a digital photography course in NTU, and has a few A4 sheets left which I plan to use up! I usually buy 4R for most photos that I print. Maybe you can ask your daughter to check if others are going to DIY, and they can share out a pack of paper.
