Do take note that the colour ink-cartridges runs dry fairly quickly if you don’t use them enough. So if you do get a photo-printer, do use them at least once every fortnight. We have one and at times we would randomly print some group photos to give to our friends.

No softcopies given; only some hardcopies.

I still live in the mountain and thought that $100 to $200 can settle.

It looks like I need to DIY if I want to save cost.
Last year we had a photographer (a graduation) for $300. It was shared by 5 families, so we paid $60 each. He sent us all the “decent” digital photos, no hard copies. So it can be done with $100-200.

Most studio packages charge according to the no. of groups and group sizes, so I don't think they would allow multiple families, and they limit the no. of prints, and often don't give digital copies (or charge a lot more). But private ones can charge differently.

Yes, that's a problem we face too, and that goes for any colour printer, not just for photos. So we also print random things periodically just to stop the cartridges drying up.

Oh this is not a studio package, he is being privately hired. His main profession is in advertising photography and was recommended by one of the families who had his contact while at work.

No hard copies, only digital photos. They charge by the hour.

Alternatively. If you only need to print for graduation, do try the professional photo printers. The quality is much better and you don’t have to maintain a printer.

Here is the list of eligible schools. There are 20 US Universities (some discussion previously; University of Michigan is included here); a few may be debatable but generally it has the well regarded ones (also depends on exactly what you want to do so others may be in for you and some of those on the list won't be so great)...

We used to take ours at Gloria and after more than 2 decades, the canvas quality is still great.

Those wedding photo in photo frames tend to stick to the glass after x years when we wanted to replace the broken frame & we didn't have soft copy then.

Alternatively, I can recommend w confidence Berryhappy & it has many options.
