Have. My friend’s daughter who is in RV shared that the Principal announced it during assembly that the mean RP is 83.8 and a large increase in no of students getting 6,7,8 distinctions. I really wonder what the sch has been doing to value add the students so much over all these years. They take in the lowest tier of the IP students at about 250-252, but eventually the 3h2 distinctions, UAS rp also slowly steadily improving to be on par with the top JCs.

COP is the t score of the last person who gained admission into the school. It doesnt mean all their students are around that score. Surely there are 260s and 270s too. In last year 2018 choose your sec sch booklet, the t score for 2017 psle was 250-270.

Yes, that is why I feel very bad for them when people keep saying they take in lower tier students, there are actually many people with high t scores who choose to go there too.

We can ignore them ones - as long as the kids themselves are happy learning. ;-)

If you live in the west around Jurong, isn’t RVHS the obvious choice?

Errmm... These days, kids can be so hardworking. We know several who travel to Bishan+Bukit Timah all the way from Lakeside...

Apparently not everyone thinks so. Many parents still choose to send their kids to the top 4 so called branded schools.
My colleague’s DD is from a top pri school just a couple bus stops away from RV. Surprisingly her teachers and principal encourage their students to go to those 4 schools instead of RV.

This could also be partly the reason why RV COP is always at the lower end for IP schools. In the eyes of many, RV is a good school but not a branded school.
