Reality Game Show on television saw an explosion of global popularity starting in the early 2000s. The shows Survivor, the Idol series, The Amazing Race, the America's Next Top Model series, the Dancing With The Stars series, The Apprentice, Fear Factor and Big Brother have all had a global effect, having each been successfully syndicated in dozens of countries.

Just a fun poll to see which is the favourite reality tv game show series among kiasu parents

I like the Apprentice and the Amazing Race.

I like Amazing Race. Get to see different countries. Not like Survivor stuck in one place.

i like the apprentice the most. in fact, now have a singapore version "can i serve?"

Not a fan of reality shows. Really can't stand watching people bicker or confess their entire life story to the public. However, I do watch American Idol occasionally for the talent factor, usually from semifinal to final.

yes! i like Ninja Warriors too! i like it that the real opponent is the challenge itself and all competitors cheer one another on.

For Apprentice, i don't like it that (for the ones that i watched) Project Managers are usually the one who gets the boot first when things go wrong even if sometimes it is the members fault. it is not easy to lead a team of competitors.

Amazing race, i usually only follow certain teams and when they get booted out, i stopped watching.

Survivor, i will only catch it if i find the competitors interesting. i agree that their games are very interesting.

I voted for Project Runway as it has less on backstabbing and focuses really on uncovering talent.

I don't need backstabbing entertainment shows.

Hmmm....I think my TV really misses me...in the list, I only know "project runway" but I only watch it less than the count in one hand?

Is "The moment of truth" considered? I saw it twice by chance and another one about "marrying a millionaire"? (this one a bit bixxhy in the way they fight for the millionaire guy, is he real??) I saw it twice I think.

Based on all these snippets I have caught, I think I like Project Runway best since I know no better about other shows.. This one really squeezing them to their best creativity under time pressure and in reality, there are deadlines and creative work people need to be able to rise to the occasion. Their comments are also not so harsh in nature and some rather constructive to guide them how to move on.
