Hi all, watch this show today and find it's really very touching.

The show is about the earthquake happened at Tangshan in year 1976. The poor mother was force to make a most difficult decision in her life by choosing to save either her girl 方登 or boy who was buried under the debris close to each other. As time was critical, the mother chose the boy and the decision was overhead by the girl. The mother thought the girl was dead but surprising this girl miraculously survived and in later part adopted by a 王couple. The mother and 王登 had lived their life miserable for the next 32 years. 王登 cannot forget the mother had chosen to abandon her and refused to go back there and looked for the next of kin. However, in 2008 when Sichuan earthquake 王登 volunteers to join the rescue team and witnesses the tribulations people go through when a natural disaster takes place. Over there, she managed to meet her brother and finally reunites with the mother. 王登 manages to unlock the pain when she realized her mother has been live in pain for all these years and also never forget the tomato that she promised 王登 before the disaster.

However, the earthquake scene was quite terrifying therefore is more suitable for bigger children.

Have to control as dd was around. The most touching scene was the mother kneel down when she saw her girl after 32 years.

if I were the mother, i also won't know which one to save first. i think i probably can't save any cos by the time i come to a decision... something bad may have happened already.

Its such a difficult decision to make!

if i were the mother, I would save the boy, and then ask him to dig under the debris for the sis, as boys are usually stronge.

If he was too weak, I would have a moral dilemma....

At that time, digging one out would result in further collapse of the wreckage on the other. :(

The show is quite meaningful and our children will realize how lucky they are living in a non-earthquake zone.

There is also 1 scene at the later part of the movie (Si Chuan Earthqauke)where another mother decided that her daughter's leg needs to be amputed in order to save her daugher's life.

Very touching scenes.

me and my gal friends were all complaining about our woes having to juggle work and family etc before the movie...after the movie we were all feeling thankful for our lot in life...
