So far the discussions have been on western dramas. But I like this Korean drama “my name”
...
I watched the first part which was interesting until she graduated from the police academy. Then I got bored and fast forwarded to the end. It was an interesting show, just a bit too predictable and violent.

If the protagonist is a male, I would also think like you. :nunchuk: I was impressed by the “viciousness” of her strikes. The actress must have put in lots of efforts. The way she got slammed onto the floor. Her swollen face after got beaten up. It’s very convincing the vicious world she lived in. Her stares were soul-less. She may be numbing herself from her pains in her heart. Comparing to say local production if an actress is playing kongfu expert, her move will looked rehearsed. And she will always look pretty after each fight. :please:

 It's good you enjoyed the movie. Just a bit of warning for others... it's a very violent movie.

I just got started on "The Silent Sea" because my hero (The handsome guy who also cameoed in The Squid Games). I game up after watching 2 episodes and I couldn't even make myself forward through the last episode. It was too boring. Seems like they spent so much on the props that they forgot why viewers want to spend time watching the movie.

what impressed me further is that the script is written by a lady. she is really multi dimensional. She looks more like a writer for romance

The Silent Sea gets better from the third ep onwards... I trudged through the first 2 eps too. Haha... and managed to finish the series.

Ok this is Korean Drama forum. But since we are talking about patience, I have this Jap drama to recommend - “the journalist”. It really tested my patience but somehow I stick to it, because it is different 8). About corruptions and bureaucracy in Japan. I must say although it is very slow, I felt a breath of freshness after finishing the 6 episodes on Netflix- because such plot and way it is presented is new to me.
