It's a beautiful day. But not every one can see it....

Actually if one watches the video at face value, yes, it is a touching and heartfelt scene.

But if you watch till the end of the clip, it's actually an advertising gimmick. The video was produced by Purple Feather, an online content specialist - which means that this company specialises in professional copywriting for companies, blog sites and other social media tools. So, it's paid advertising and not something genuine.

The entire production looks too staged and sleek for real. Underlying meaning is that using the right words can make or break your business. So hire the right copy writing experts to make money for u. Takes away the sincerity of the entire video clip.

There's a story in the kids' P5 or P6 Chinese textbook that's very similar in content...语言的力量

Yup think this video's staged...too polished to be real...but whether based on a true life story is anybody's guess...

Yes, it is about 'using the right words'.

There is no doubt about that at all, just look at the title of the clip "The Power of Words" ....it says it all.

but then....it is a clever way

Agreed with you. But putting all these aside, it just tells how fortunate I am to be able to see and not to take things for granted. It somehow reminds me of those old aunties/uncle who sell tissue paper on the street. You will see the same person selling that same tissue when you pass by the same underground or outside that particular shopping mall. Many of us,like me, will just walk passed them each time we were there.

One day I noticed that the same old fat lady selling tissue at the place where I would often go, has run down so much that it just "hurt" to see her in such sorry state. Another one where my heart goes to was a old skinny feeble man who resembles a last stage cancer stricken person, and he was no longer seen in that familiar place....

xfx... I used to walk right past those tissue sellers, too. The ones that are too "pro-active" that when I see one quietly sitting in the wheelchair, I quickly and happily walk right past them. And then one day fate decided to put me in charge to help one set up his stall. Then I realised that most of them are so incapable of movement, they sit there for hours at end, without drinking water or going to the toilet! The former would require the latter, so they just don't drink water at all!

Nowadays, I try to slow down, and buy a packet of tissue from them. Everyone needs tissue, anyway, right? It is a small way to contribute to the society, and a small deed to soothe my conscience.
