Inflation is still high!

SG govt reported that inflation growth from Mar compared to last year March is 5%!
I wonder how anyone with retired parents are coping?

the root of recent price hike is fuel price. with the unrest in middle-east, it is highly likely that fuel price will stay high or continue to raise in near future. this is not something that any govnt can control.

Right till today, I still see that most people didn't get it right including common people, scholars in university, governments, presidents, prime ministers etc...
The root cause of inflation we are experiencing currently, isn't due to high fuel price. The main cause is that governments of all nations on earth have been printing money. And the reason why this has been possible is that the world is currently in fiat currency system. Beginning earlt 20 century, we were already slowly drifting off the gold standard and by 1970s, we are totally off. This accounts for all the financial problems we encounter today.
