if i have a S$1m in cash

With rising costs and increased learning needs, financing our children's education is no longer a simple walk in the park. Discuss with other parents about how they are managing their finances to cope with their expenses.

if i have a S$1m in cash

i would probably invest the whole sum in bricks. shares/stock not for me cos i cant take the ups and downs that go with it.

(assuming i dont need to use part of this S$1m for any kind of savings (be it for dh and myself or kids), charity purposes, repayment of loans etc)

i got a friendly :nunchuk: :spank: recently when i said that at a friends' gathering. that started the conversation "what to do with S$1m"..............

when little, this was one of our compo topics, remember saying that will donate half to charity, give to family and friends, celebrate with nice meals, travel and buy lots of toys ............

now haha, everyone is definitely investing.............

I will wish I have S$10mil. And if I have S$10mil, I will wish I have S$100mil.

So better not to have that S$1mil.

If you have 1mil spare cash, better not put it in bank as it will depreciate. I will buy a small condo and rent it out.

If I have 1M in cash, I will breathe better. The knowledge that there is more than loose change will not be life changing but will give me peace of mind. I may ok DH's wish to trade in the bone shaker, let my child take music lessons and buy a session to erase my pigmentation. :please:
