Anyone went to the above show flat?Wonder is it worth investing? My friend is keen on the studio unit, she's wondering whether it's worth investing or is it too expensive to buy now.

Woodlands is not a good location for investment purposes. Rental yield will not be very high. Just had a friend who visited the showflat and they mentioned it was very oddly shaped. They didn't like it.

at that price not worth it - unless you like woodland
its a slow growth area
goes nearer central if you really want to invest for rental yield

good only if :

1. near to the american school; and

2. large enough to cater to american expat family with school going kids

If you want to rent to a family with kids, you cannot buy a studio apt. These american families want huge spaces. That'z why most of them rent the landed homes near the american school.

therefore it may not be good to rent to target market such as yuppy expat who prefers to play in town and live near to it

3 principles of good investment property (real estate) ::

1st : location
2nd : location
3rd : location

follow the above will never go wrong

seen people who invested in D.10 & 11 and have more than doubled in value over the last 6 years
