Fengshui for rented unit?

Does it make sense to ask a fengshui master to give her opinion of a unit which we intend to rent? I mean if we buy a house we are free to do implement the recommendations of the fengshui master, but for rented place we actually have little leeway to play around with the layout etc right?

Guess it depends on the fees and length of stay. Sometimes, they can improve the fengshui of the unit by using colours or placement of ornaments. Also depends on your personal luck cycle.

It depends on how serious you are about fengshui. If you can't do anything about it (like hacking a wall), then it's better not to know. Anyway, basic principles of fengshui can be applied while looking for the correct unit. Just find a unit with regular square / rectangular shaped rooms, no direct afternoon sun, no weird platforms (creates instability) and a bright airy feeling. That should be safe enough.

Layout of furniture can be easily done yourself in accordance with basic fengshui principles. Sofa must be against the wall, bed headboard must be also against the wall, bed end cannot face room door etc.

Look for good dates (宜)on the racing horse calendar for important activities such as "入宅 move-in date", "安床 install the bed date" etc.

anyone heard of any relationship between fengshui and numbers?

for example something like power of numbers or elements of numbers with fengshui, and how they are used?

Yes, these are mentioned in fengshui books. For example, windows should not have more than 3 per room otherwise can cause disharmony among parents and children. Coz windows rep children, door rep parents (authority). So if ratio goes beyond 1:3, may cause the family to have many arguments.

I believe in Fengshui but am not too serious in it so i dont hire anyone. Just spend a few hours on the internet. You'll grasp the basics.

not familiar with fengshui, but know about numerology.

Some fengshui master uses both numerology and fengshui together to give the best advice.
