I just got the answer.....diamond jewelry has crap value after it leaves the jewelry shop

You can try your regular jeweller who may buy back those which he sold you at a better price than if you walk into a random jeweller.

You are right. The spread is very wide and probably not worth re-selling. Trade in/up may be another option.

Actually, I know the answer...place it for auction but even this best answer will only fetch you at best 50% of the price you paid at the shop.
