Hello Fellow Kiasu-folks,
Has anyone been to warehouse club? www.warehouseclub.com.sg
I just want to know if this place is really all that cost efficient. What about prices of milk, milo, rice?
Much kiasu,
Karen

I went there just before CNY.
To purchase any items there, you need to become a member. You can apply for the membership (cost $35?) on the spot.
The warehouse is conveniently located to Joo Koon mrt. In fact, there is a covered short bridge that linked the two buildings together, which means you can buy your goodies and hop onto the train.
Parking is free for first 2 hours.
For prices, yes, most of the items are cheaper than the ones in Fairprice because you buy in huge amt ie 1kg instead of 500g etc. There are a lot of Carrefour products or products which I have not seen in Fairprice.

I am put off by the membership fee. I would rather shop in Big Box.

If you buy from NTUC supermarkets, you can clock up Linkpoints but if you buy from Big Box, there is no such program.

Not all items are cheap in Big Box, must compare prices first.

I went big box about 4 wk ago, and yes, many things are more expensive than NTUC… which I thought was strange.

Selected items are cheaper. Plus often have to buy more than 1 piece to get good price.

That was my 2nd try at getting there. The first try was 1 week after it opened. It was so crowded we gave up.

Slightly more than a month later, the carpark had lots of empty lots, and the food court was only maybe 15% full on a Sunday afternoon.

Somehow I worry that it will not last too long...

We went there last weekend. There are brands that not usually found in NTUC. We definitely like it better than Big Box.

So really free parking for first 2 hours without any minimum purchase?
