Could someone advise me is there a monthly concession card that allows students to take unlimited MRT & bus rides in a month by paying a monthly concession amount? My knowledge is that my era was using a bus card with by stamp just show to the bus driver when I boarded up.

My kids use the student card when they travel on bus and train. Just top up any amt when value is low. Works like ezlink card. Students fare will be charged with the card.

Don't think three is one with unlimited rides.

Oh I am looking in which by paying a fixed fee upfront where could take unlimited trip. Like our old day where there are monthly concession for buses & MRT.

There is a monthly concession card for students.. Using the same student smart card card. You have to 'purchase' it for unlimited use monthly.. Different pricing for the different options.. Unlimited bus only, train only or hybrid.

In the event that the pass expires( if you forget to renew), they will then deduct the trip fare from the stored value in their card... Until you purchase the new concessionary pass. If I am not wrong, it can be purchased at any time of the month (eg, 10th June- 9thJuly something like that )Unlike the ones we used in our school days ( month start -month end).

Do an estimate to see if worth to buy hybrid. We did and for us, bus only is more worth. Plus when doing estimate, you should take into account the bus transfer discount. At times not really worth. So for full months, son get the bus only concession. For holiday weeks months, eg mar, Sept, he paid using regular fare system.

Buying of concession is via the ticketing machine, you use the student card to "activate"/buy the concession. This option can only use nets, not cash. My son will use his dad nets to buy during month end.
