DSA 2019

Unlike entry to Primary Schools, admission into Secondary Schools is based on meritocracy. PSLE results are used as key admission criteria. Discuss everything related to PSLE and selection of Secondary Schools here.

Hi (yayoi and paradit),

Do let your two children know (aware) beforehand, that for Phase 1 Written test, scheduled either on (26 or 27 June 2019) : the Written test itself, will take around (2 to 2.5) hours.

However, because many P6 students will be turning up on these two scheduled days to take test, eg. queuing up to register, this might take a bit of time.

After taken (sat for) Phase 1 test, if students mange to pass (clear) this test, they will be short-listed to attend Round 2 test. This time, will be team work, around 4 to 5 students assigned per team, hands-on-group (team) work, where they test students on creativity, plus Scientific Inquiry & Application (practical)

One SST (School of Science & Technology) ex-student shared that in 2015, his team need to design a parachute, may read his sharing further

The tests sound as stress as the PSLE itself.

Hi
Those applying for SCGS DSA. They will call you for Audition right?
Does anyone know when?
Or do I need to call the school to find out?
Thanks

some of my kid P6 school-mates' parents spent around $ 650, just to let their child attend some DSA preparation interview. Actually, no need to spend this amount of $.

Below are some of the FAQ interview questions, just like any job interview, that you can help prepare your child for the interview (june holiday)

agenda (itinery) for 2019 P6 students (born 2007) taking SST Phase 1 Written test , either on 26 or 27 June

The whole session include

- registration,

- a briefing given by Principal,

- a "1 hour 15 minute" Test paper with (mcq and structured questions), which cover the range of subjects that your child had studied in Primary school

Students are not allowed to use the calculator during the test.
