DSA 2020

Unlike entry to Primary Schools, admission into Secondary Schools is based on meritocracy. PSLE results are used as key admission criteria. Discuss everything related to PSLE and selection of Secondary Schools here.

the whole world is in pain now, traumatic in grief and death.

Donald Trump said this virus last for 18 months or longer
18 months is 1.5 years, or longer than 18 months

We are a tiny red dot. The global pandemic impact us greatly
Therefore, very unlikely that NSG will resume after June holidays.
Instead, be mentally prepared [realistic ] that ... NSG won't take off this year 2020

What is the "Innovation" talent area in NYGH all about? Any idea where to get more information on this talent area?

I tk this is for GEP students who did IVP or IRS in P5. Some sort of innovative or research project.

Same with ABRSM music exams. Postponed indefinitely. Even those who finished in March are having problems receiving the certs/results I think, since ABRSM UK is in chaos right now.

So DSA using various routes/domains will be affected. Not only sports.
My DS had his piano practical exam in early March and we rec'd the cert in late March.

Good afternoon to All,

My plan was to let my child try DSA via Sports this May, but due to the situation now, my child did not even had the chance to attend any competition.

Now, I am thinking if we should even try since there is no competition results to submit.

All thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you.

Everybody in the same sport will probably be in the same situation as you.

The question is, does your child have good P5 sports comp results? That’s probably all that the schools have to look at.

It’s also unsure whether or how the secondary schools will be conducting any DSA sports trials or interviews. I suppose interviews may be done via video conferencing if necessary, including any group interviews. But team sports trials cannot be done reasonably without breaching safety distance rules.
