Hi all,

Please share you DS/DD's T-score and whether he/she has the EESIS and 3rd Lang (French/ Jap/ German) options?

EESIS determines the top 3% of the cohort while 3rd Lang option is for top 10%. The COP T-scores for both can be used to "calculate" the COPs of schools especially top schools like RI/RGS/HCI/NYGH/DH etc.

Last year 2009 EESIS COP was 261. Top 10% COP was 248. If the EESIS COP gone up this year, we can expect the top schools' COPs to go up as well.

I thought EESIS is offered to the top 1/3 of students enrolled in IP schools. Not top 3% of cohort.

We gone through this last year...and we knew it is for top 3% after all the calculations.

So far know of 261 got it. Not sure anyone lower than this. But they may change the criteria. Saw a statement, " Your child/ward is offered EESIS as he/she has been offer DSA to IS." Not sure if all got into Independent school via DSA, whtehter GEP or not get EESIS?

261 (so far) for EESIS is the same as last year. So it is safe to say that COPs for top schools should be either same or lower (if someone can confirm he/she has EESIS below 261) than last year.

DD got 258 + 2 but only 3rd language being offered and not the EESIS lei. So, may be it's for DSA? BTW, now me and DD not sure should choose IP school or not? If yes, then would be DHS which DD very scared she cannot cope, me too.. worried for her, so thinking of Chung Cheng, we staying East, is this school going for IP ? But also heard that this is a very stressful school too, so we are very confused and afraid DD cannot cope with the very Chinese environment, her Chinese not strong. :?
