Anyone familar with IGCSE?

Possible to attempt one paper each sitting?
Or need to attempt a certain number of papers together in one sitting to acquire a full cert?

Technically, there is no such thing as an IGCSE full cert. IGCSE subjects are taken in any combination; you can even take one subject at a time in either of two annual sessions. However most people would take a few subjects per session, or all in one session.

However, universities and other institutions which accept IGCSE candidates can specify how many sittings the IGCSE subjects must be taken in (e.g. all subjects in not more than two sittings within 12 months) and what IGCSE subjects need to be taken for admission.

You can download an IGCSE brochure here.

note

for the same subject -
the IGCSE Exam syllabus is different , from our GCE "O" level (Singapore) Exam syllabus.

IGCSE Exam : is for International students
there are 2 exam, per year, for IGCSE.
students can take IGCSE exam : either in June OR in October/Nov
students can register for IGCSE exam, at British Council (Napier road branch)

However, for GCE "O" level exam -
it is only held ONCE a year, in October/Nov
students can register for GCE "O" level exam, at SEAB (Singapore Examination & Assessment Board)

for Polytechnic admission, depending on which Faculty or Course you're applying for :-
Poly will ask you, "When did you take the IGCSE exam ?"

for some Faculty -
if taken IGCSE exam within 2 years, from the date you apply for Poly admission, they still can accept.

also, ask that particular Faculty you're interested in:
what are the specific subjects they're looking for , as well as the minimum number of subjects they're looking at (including English), at one single IGCSE exam sitting ?

(different Faculty students applying for : have different requirement(s), for different subjects )
