Help For math paper 1, section b

Can someone please share with me is there any good assessment book can help my pri six girl for math paper 1, section B.Her calculation is not precise when doing without calculator.Thank you.

But I rather you buy its assessment book. Its cheap and good. Very structured and gives your daughter enough practice.

Simon Eio assessment book will only be useful after your DD has acquired certain aptitude in the subject. maths456 is good for slow and steady scaffolding. It really depends what your child needs rather than pure recommendation from others. let me know if you need help choosing, I can go assessment shopping with you!!! Its one of my favourite hobbies cause it exposes me to more books.

Hi Leanne

Meet one dd classmate mother and shock to know her dd lost almost 10 marks in Section B but score full mark on Section A and Section C during the SA1.

As such, I think sufficient practicing/explosing to Section B is also needed.

Agree. Especially calculators are not allowed. So mental calculations needs constant practising.

Hi Brenda,

Not surprised as many kids are very reliance on calculator.same goes for ds.Full in section a and c but lost four marks in section b.I dont know what is wrong too.

Yes. Must work with the speed and accuracy. If the children do not take note of some tiny detial ($ in question but answer in cents etc) they may just loss the mark.
