Unlike entry to Primary Schools, admission into Secondary Schools is based on meritocracy. PSLE results are used as key admission criteria. Discuss everything related to PSLE and selection of Secondary Schools here.

Shd a GEP student to go to a Sec School with SBGE programme?

Postby Dnls_mum » Tue Sep 13, 2011 2:08 pm

DS2 is a GEP student. He attended the NJC talk and liked their programme, so he applied to NJC for DSA and has received a CO from NJC.

MOE has advised that NJC does not have a school based gifted programme for GEP students. Is it necessary for a GEP student to attend a Sec school with a SBGE programme? What are the advantages of attending such a school? Or disadvantage of not attending a school with SBGE?

Does anyone have any experience and can you share your experience? Thanks!
