Advice needed...

Hi!
Just like to get some advice regarding school selection...
My DS got 244...
was thinking of the following:
choice
#1 -ACSI (express)
#2- SJI
#3- Commonwealth
#4- FMS(S)
#5- Maris Stella
#6- Clementi Town
understand 244 is out of range for ACSi and SJI.
Is there other school worth considering?
any advice is appreciated..

I think 244 for SJI should be quite safe but not for ACS(I).

also feel ACSI v difficult...ACSI just across the road sigh!
SJI 2009 COP 244 drop to 241 last year...hopefully still can make it.
now considering Bukit Panjang Government High School..

now some of my friend are telling me the actual 'COP' may be higher than the published because of the some of the students enter via DSA. if not via DSA, via S1 posting may need more than the COP published.
not sure how true

Generally to appeal you have to put the school as first choice.
Unless you can give them reasons like you are staying next to SJI then they may consider.

generally how to appeal, on what grounds/reasons used ?

Hi all,
my son got 239. was hoping to get into SJI but the cut off for SJI is 241 for non affiliated students. If i were to appeal what would my chances be like? please let me have your views

but elsewhere states 250 ??
if 250 still worth trying ?:oops:
my strategy
fFirst 4 choices, aims abit higher...for ACSI, SJI...etc
choice 4 & 5 choose school with lower COP like FMS, Commonwealth...
does that made sense??

According to the "Choosing your Sec Schools" book, the 2010 COP for ACSI (express) without affiliation is 245.
