With 5 more new IP schools next year, how will the COP of the present and new IP schools be?
What is your prediction on this?

The Year 2000 Dragon Year babies are taking PSLE this year so there would be a larger cohort, with the 2 new entrants namely Cedar & VS having cut off of 258 and 255 respectively this year, i guess the cut off should be maintain at around there or slightly lower by a few points for the new schools, the lowest so far among the IP schools is RV with 254.

The additional vacancies from the new IP schools are really limited. Total up the 5 schools will maybe make up about 500-600 vacancies. At most drop 1-2 points in COP?

I think the COP will be the range of 255-260.

Just for curiosity sake, wonder how many dragon babies are taking PSLE this year as compared to the previous non dragon years? This IP schools need to open up more vacancies in view of this surge in student population.

I think, naturally, the COP of the present IP schools, starting from NYGH, RI...will drop. This is good as good students are better spread over a no of schools. In view of it being a dragon year, this drop in COP may not be much, perhaps 1 to 2 points.

Anyone has information on the no of students in this dragon year's cohort compared to last year's?

Do you have the breakdown on the no of IP students each of the new IP school will be taking in?
Or better still, the no of IP vacancies of all the IP schools?

the rise in foreign population in the past 5 years will be another factor..many did bring along their families and children..

I think that the top 4 IP schools like RI, RGS, NYGH and HCI will retain their COPs. There will be an impact on the next tier of IP schools like NJC, DHS, RVHS etc. I think those will go down minimally, maybe 1-2 points.

The new IP schools viz Victoria, Cedar, SCGS, SNGS, CHS, MGS and SJI won't add that many IP vacancies. I think in total maybe 500-600 places? And a fair number of these will probably be their old students keen to stay on in a familiar environment. The top students from these schools would probably still prefer to go to the established IP schools, especially if the new IP school has no experience in A levels.
