I've made the mistake of booking our holiday without checking the school posting dates. I understand that the school posting result is tentatively out on 19 Dec and we are to report to the posted school on 20 Dec.

Would anyone know what we need to do if we are away during those days ? Could we report to the school after 20 Dec ?

You can appoint a proxy to report to the school on your behalf. You can download a proxy form from the MOE website. Just provide your proxy with the necessary documents and the signed proxy form, and ask him/her to bring a photocopy of his/her NRIC. My mother did it for us last year and it was fine. She also collected the information handouts, booklist etc on our behalf. It's best to have someone report on reporting day; I'm not sure they allow you to report on a later date although you can buy stuff and sign GIRO forms etc at a later date.
