No harm putting as 1st choice.
Yes, can't use HCL for non-SAP sch.

COP of 232 is for 2012 Sec 1 intake. For 2013, it may be higher, lower or remain unchange. Hence no harm applying for the school as 1st choice. You must choose the 2nd choice properly just in case she fail to get into the 1st choice.

If you not applying for SAP school, you cannot use HCL grade.

no one can tell you because nobody knows how many students (and their PSLE scores) will apply to the school this year

but you must be willing to take a risk. make sure your other choices are carefully selected also. if you don't get the 1st choice school as computer selects students with higher COP and by the time it comes to your daughter if there are vacancies your gal will be selected . re your gal's 2nd choice, the computer will give priority to students who have selected your 2nd choice sch as their 1st choice provided of course they meet the COP and your gal will be selected only after the eligible students with this sch as 1st choice are selected . thus, sometimes you may not get your 1st or 2nd choice school because of this though your gal is eligible to get the 2nd choice sch. however, I have seen alot of students who get their 1st or 2nd choice school by appealing . one gal got TKGS after appealing and another has got Anglican High thru appealing. the former had a higher T-score than TKGS's COP but unfortunately her 1st choice had a COP a few points higher than her T-score. as for the latter Anglican high had a COP higher than her T-score but managed to get at appeal as maybe the school had vacancies when their students got other schools thru. appeal . these are things that no one can predict .

This information is wrong. Allocation will be to the higher points regardless of position of choices.

Yes, the above information is very wrong.....

NO priority will be given to pupils who have indicated yr second choice school as 1 st choice.
Allocation of schools is all by merit, the one who has the higher agg score will get to be filled first followed by the next pupil.
Of coz, if yr 1 st choice already met the COP of the sch,
then the system will not go to look at yr sec choice sch, even if u qualify for the sec choice sch.
