Points not enough to enter desired Sec School

Hi
Anyone please advise me if I could register to a Sec School as 1st choice if the marks are different by 24 pts.?? for Sec 1 next year

You can, but since it is unlikely that the COP will drop 24pts from last year, it may not be very useful to you. COPs generally vary by 2-3 pts at most from year to year. If you still want to do that, make sure that at least a few of the schools you list have COPs at or below your score.

24 points is alot, very likely that you won't get in.

How about if the points are short by 2? My DD just miss by 2 to CHIJ TP. We are wondering if we should put it as first choice.

No harm trying. But make sure at least a couple of the 6 choices are very safe to get in.

Any idea if different by 10 pts?I am using 2011 results for each individual school.
