sorry, this list is totally misleading. The strength of schools just isn't measured based on COP. COP just indicates the perceived popularity. Goodness gracious!

In the context of this post, this list is very useful. Cop is not the perceived popularity, it is the actual historical minimum entry point to a school and provides an indicative guide to the applicants.

seriously, for 199, better to apply for normal (acad) in a popular school, eg a school with COP of 24x for its express stream but also has normal stream

you will be in a very good school, and will likely to do well in year 1 of the normal acad stream, and stand a chance to be upgraded to express stream, which you will never be able to get in based on tscore of 199

if you try to squeeze into any other secondary school express stream at 199, you are likely to be at the bottom and imagine who else in the cohort ..... to be politically sensitive it is not right for me to mention what kind of students making up those COP 199~200 at express stream

and honestly, not all sec schools are the same

Perhaps i wasn't too clear. My point is, a ranking based on COP might be misleading as the COP just doesn't do justice to how good a school is all the time. A higher COP does not mean better system or processes within the school.

And honestly, personally disturbed to see bupashu's comments on children with low t scores for express. Elitist remarks like this really don't go very far in teaching young minds. Alright, go ahead and flame if you want.

COP is not an indication of the perceived popularity of the school...it gives a rough indication of the entry level. Whatever made you think COP is related to popularity ?

199, is not the end, many people is late starter, I know of a boy who score around 199 in PSLE, but able to excel in the Sec sch & sebsquently get into JC and finally to Uni.
They might perform better with a new environment.
They will think of their future and study hard for it.
Do not stress yourself too much.
You would be surprise that some of the "188" COP students can perform better and excel :grphug: when come to 'O' level. :dancing:
