Check your PSLE result slip

My girl told me that her friend's result slip was printed wrongly. The name was correct but the PSLE index number was wrong. They called MOE (my girl said MOE but I think should be SEAB) and her result slip was reprinted and replaced. Her t-score was higher. Her original t-score belongs to another girl of another school. That girl's result slip was re-printed too.

The two girls are unlikely to have same names cos my girl's friend is not a local with unique first name and surname.

Parents, check the PSLE result slip and tally your child's name against the PSLE index number.

This is shocking. Parents, please check your children's name against their PSLE index number on the result slip.

Shocking indeed. It makes one wonder whether the MOE system can erroneously allocate the wrong T-score to students.

Yes. Indeed shocking if this is true! Wondering whether all the result announced so far are all correct? :?

Now that MOE is aware that 1 error was made, I'm sure they are furiously checking whether any more occured.

Thanks, alng!
I've just informed my sis about this, asking her to check my nephew's result slip. She was quite disappointed with his result as he has been doing well in school.

Sorry for sounding skeptical. This seems a huge mistake for Seab to make and if really true, I would expect a lot of kids' results to be affected.

I thought index number is assigned in running order within the same school.

Could this child be telling this tale so that she can tell others she has a higher t score? Would be interesting to know where this child is posted to.

I am equally shocked when I heard that error. But there is no reason why my girl's good friend would lie to her. My girl saw her friend's result slip on Thursday but her friend's T score has changed now. Both T scores were 26* and difference of 4 points. Girls do not interrogate their friends...so I have no other information.

The purpose of writing is to alert parents to check their child's PSLE result slip, whether or not what I have heard is true or not. I have alerted my friends to check too.

Many have also told me that their child's results are below their original expectations. Well, my girl is in the same situation too but I think she has performed within the range of expected performance (just on the lower end of that range). Whether you wish to get your child's PSLE results checked is really up to you. If the name and PSLE index number on the PSLE result slip tally, I do not think the results will be changed.

Unless MOE/SEAB made a lot of errors and many students are affected, I do not think MOE/SEAB will make any announcement on this.
