I thought 10 top should also include RI, RGS, River Valley, Nanyang, HCI, ACS etc? At least if kid cannot go to top 10, just want to know what other good secondary schools that can go. That is why I want to know the top 20 secondary school in singapore.

Anyway , thank you for providing the above list. I didnt know Cedar,Bukit Panjang Government High, Anderson, Victoria, Tanjong Katong are good secondary too?

BTW, MGS and SJI stands for? :?

RI, RGS, HCI, ACE, RV , NGHS are not included in the rankings because the students there do not take the "O" Level Exams.

They are still the top ten, I believe.

And MGS is Methodist Girls' School

and SJI - ST Joseph Institution

BPGHS is the BEST non-ip school in the west, COP for last year was 244 beating even nan hua. All my siblings (5 of us) are alumni.

Happy to see also that my girl's sec school tkgs is listed in the top performers too.

Just to add in something. BPGHS is non SAP while Nanhua is SAP.

As far as HMT is concerned, both schools offer them and students need to score A* in both languages before they can take the subject.

So what's the real difference with sap and non-sap? The culture in Nan Hua is more Chinese oriented, perhaps while in BPGHS, they accept students of all races. Maybe ccas are different too.

Can someone clarify my doubt on HMT...my son is not taking higher chinese. I understand HMT only contributes a few points to PSLE aggregate. Other than this, does not doing HMT limit his choice of sec sch ? Tat is, is there any sec sch that only accepts (chinese) students who have studied HMT in pri level ? Esp for chinese-oriented schs like catholic high, han hua, etc.

SAP schools take in students regardless of HMT.

IP schools are in a super league of their own, so they are considered way ahead of O levels schools.
