T Score 249 Option Selection recommendation

Postby SURAY5XL » Tue Nov 26, 2013 7:12 pm

My Daugter is having T score 249 this year. Can't go to SAP schools. staying in Hougang area. Following my options:

1) Cedar IP (254)
2) Cedar O Level (251)
3) SCGS IP (253)
4) SCGS O Level (251)
5) MGS (252) - far from house
6) Crescent (244) - far from house as well

Cedar is dream as nearer to house. Any recommendation? Whether above selection is correct or some alteration required. Urgent help is much appreciated.

Regards
A P-6 Girls Father

If Cedar is her dream school, the placement looks good to me. The only concern is whether she has a preference for any track ie. Ip or O level. I think the likelihood that she would be posted to Cedar O level is very high if she doesn't get into the ip track, if you put the schools in this order.

If you have a good look at your placement, you will realise that if she doesn't get into Cedar girls O level, she will be left with scgs o level and crescent girls bcos scgs and mgs ip/ib tracks definitely require a higher t-score than Cedar O level. So technically speaking, scgs and mgs ip/ib are wasted in your option.

Have you thought of Anderson in AMK? An autonomous school, my girl in sec 2 this year, she loves the school. Btw, remember to see if the school you choose has the CCA that your girl likes? Are these schools that your girl like? You must let her choose the school she likes.

Thanks a lot Sir/Madam,

Your response helped me a lot you are correct SCGS IP is a wastage. BTW, MGS O level i ve put, not IP, bcos, IP COP of MGS is quite high. I will delete the SCGS IP and move rest of the school one point up, I am planning to put St. Margarett at end having COP 241 last year.
Let me revise as

1) Cedar IP
2) Cedar O level
3) SCGS O level
4) MGS O level
5) Crescent O level
6) St Margarett O level

If you have any feedback on St margarett, please let me know.
Thanx a lot again.
