Unlike entry to Primary Schools, admission into Secondary Schools is based on meritocracy. PSLE results are used as key admission criteria. Discuss everything related to PSLE and selection of Secondary Schools here.

Hi all,

I am new here. Need your help on school selection. My son had a score of 253+2 but in dilemma. Need some advice from you folks.

Cant decide between Catholic High IP track or Catholic High O level track.

My concern: Catholic High IP is only in its first year and their IP stds will progress to a new government JC in Year 5 (together with IP stds from St. Nicholas & SCGC). The IP track is not 'proven' and new JC not established. Isnt it risky to take up the IP track?

If my son son were to take up the O level track, and if he does well in his O level, he may get a chance to opt for other more 'established' JCs.

I am residing in Woodlands area and distance wise, Catholic High is the best option for my boy.

Please advice! Thank you!
