PSLE 2009 Top Student Predictions

Postby ChiefKiasu » Tue Nov 17, 2009 9:30 am

Come and put in your predictions with the reason, eg:
"My prediction is Sungei Girl's School because they have the most hardworking teachers"

Remember - must have both School name and Reason.

100 KiasuPoints will be awarded to those who predicted correctly.
200 KiasuPoints will be awarded to those with the most creative Reasons :) , even if the prediction is wrong.

Only 1 prediction per member is allowed.

Contest ends at 9pm on 25 Nov 2009.

//Note to moderators: Please do NOT add or change the items in the poll any more. This list is based on the Top 15 Academic Schools in Singapore. We just lost the entire group of people that voted "None of the above!" in the poll.

My prediction is St Hilda's Primary because my son is studying there and this school has a good track record.

Tired of always seeing the same old school winning the top student, I just wish a dark horse (school) should win these prediction, and next year could see all the K.S parents, narrowing it down to that particular school  and since I stay in Tampines my vote goes to " TAMPINES PRI SCH" :ugogirl: Wish you all the luck in this world.

//Moderator's note: Most creative/useful prediction Award

My prediction is Nanyang Primary School because

1) they produced the most no. of high scorers in a single sch last yr, hence the chances of this yr's top scorer is from NYPS.

2) they have very good enrichment programmes (ie Lorna Whiston)

3) many political officials' children are there, and hence the children who inherit the good genes are more likely to be cream of the crop.

though this is not my alma mater nor my child is from this sch.

My prediction is Catholic High School because their secondary school did very well in 2008 so the primary school is motivated to do well this year.

Really? I'm not aware of such a programme? I believe such programmes are optional after school-enrichment activities which parents pay for, not built into the school curriculum.

//Moderator's note: Most creative/useful prediction Award

My prediction is also Nanyang Primary School because:
1) it has a most dynamic principal (unfortunately leaving for Nanyang Girls in Dec 09) .
2) it has the highest number of dedicated, motivated and loyal PVs who put in the same or even more effort in the education of their kids in NYPS :rahrah:
3) it promotes both moral & academic excellence, thereby offering the perfect environment in nurturing a TOP student
4)last but not least, the kiasu spirit and index is probably one of the highest, or if not the highest in town, hence it gets my vote for being the best able sch to product the TOP kid. :celebrate:
