Last year River Valley COP was 254; Hwa Chong 259; NJC 259. So, no harm trying for these schools.AWSP wrote:My son got 258 - this is dicey but would like to know which school will he be able to "scrape" through to for the 6 year program? suggestions?
Can we apply IP school using bonus point? Pls advise.csc wrote:Does he have higher Chinese to give him that extra 1/2/3 bonus points if applying to HCI?
Otherwise, can consider River Valley or ACS (I) .
All the best!
You can only use your HCL bonus points for SAP schools. If the SAP school is an IP school, then yes, you can use it. For eg., HCI, NYGH. If the IP school is not a SAP school you cannot use your HCL bonus points, eg. RI.noob wrote:Can we apply IP school using bonus point? Pls advise.
My girl score 259. With HCL 3 points = 262. Any chance for NYGH? Their COP 263.turquoise wrote:You can only use your HCL bonus points for SAP schools. Hard to say because it depends on the cohort this year. There's no harm in putting it as your first choice because if you don't get in, you'll be considered for your 2nd choice school.noob wrote:My girl score 259. With HCL 3 points = 262. Any chance for NYGH? Their COP 263.
Will my 2nd choice school chances given away to others that place it as 1st choice?turquoise wrote:Hard to say because it depends on the cohort this year. There's no harm in putting it as your first choice because if you don't get in, you'll be considered for your 2nd choice school.
No, according to the PSLE Booklets and MOE website. All students are ranked according to their PSLE scores. Your choice of school will be decided before the child whose rank comes after you. So if you don't get your 1st choice, the computer will go down your list to your 2nd choice, 3rd choice etc, and confirm your school, before moving on to the child ranked after you. Hope this is clear.noob wrote:[Will my 2nd choice school chances given away to others that place it as 1st choice?
