Appeal Secondary One Posting

Unlike entry to Primary Schools, admission into Secondary Schools is based on meritocracy. PSLE results are used as key admission criteria. Discuss everything related to PSLE and selection of Secondary Schools here.

One reason could be the papers were easier this year and many students scored higher aggregate. Thus with more students having better grades, naturally the COP for schools will increase too.
This is not how t-scores work. If you score better, and so does everyone else, your t-score won’t increase (and neither will theirs).

One of the documents required for appeal is school testimonial? Any idea whether school will be able to provide it in such a short period?

u have to ask yr form Tr for help, because school testimonial is written by your Form Teacher, as he / she know your kid behavior, after spent 2 years in Upper primary (P5 and P6).

There is no standard requirement apart from PSLE result and probably the report book. Additional requests vary from school to school, and you may have to ask the primary school for assistance.

But my understanding is that all students will be ranked according to the bell curve. So whether the paper is easy or not, all will be ranked and allocated a t-score aggregate.

Hi all..
Can anyone shared your experience regarding transfer in to other sec school?
What's the procedure like and when we know if we get into that school?

Thanks

Transfer refers to after sec 1 posting. Use the sec 1 results to apply at target sec sch. If there is a vacancy, there is a small chance. But if a few others also applied, possibly by merit and the outcome of the brief chat w P. Info from many years ago.
