HI

My son scored 253. I am thinking of choosing Victoria School IP (first choice - last year cut off was 252), Cath high IP (second choice - same cut off as VS), River valley high (cut off 251), Temasek Junior College (250).. are the choices ok or should i put NJC (first choice, unlikely to get in cause cut off was 256) followed by ACS (I) also 256, then VS? if i do the latter, will it affect my chances of getting into VS?

thanks

With T-score 254, which school should we choose Catholic High Ö Level or Anderson Sec?
or should I try HCI with 254+3 any chance?
Please advise if any important things that I have left out considering.

my knowledge about CHS and Anderson:
1) Not much difference in distance from home to school
2) both offer HCL but can get extra 3 points for CHS
3) have to change CCA for both school
4) one boy school and one mixed (he will pay attention to his image because of girls)
5) both ensure 95% students going to JC
6) both have good study environment, good teachers

I apologise for my mistake made earlier.
Thanks.

Current admission policy is based on T-score, meaning the higher scorer will get his / her choice first. Hence, if you can't get your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice, you will get your 4th if you meet the 4th choice COP. The student who score 252, will have to wait his / her turn until your son got his choice settled.

As long as you structured your choices like a waterfall, i.e. higher COP schools as the top choices, lower COP schools as the bottom choices, you will do ok.

For your information only. I feel quite useful for some parent to make decision.

my knowledge about CHI and Anderson:
1) Not much difference in distance from home to school
2) both offer HCL but can get extra 3 points for CHI
3) have to change CCA for both school
4) one boy school and one mixed (he will pay attention to his image because of girls)

Anderson is good (many friends from the school) but it is not on the same level as CHS (which isn't abbreviated as CHI btw).

Choice should not matter, do you want to consider SJI IP too ?

Hello!

My DD scored 259 for PSLE +2 for HMT. The schools she had chose was NJC and RV. Should we take the risk of SCGS, since some people say that the teachers are kind of biased? And RGS since the cut off point is 261? I know RGS isn't an SAP school, so should we take the risk? We live in the Bukit Panjang area. Please give recommendations!

Thank you!
