PSLE if score 150, where can the kid go?

Unlike entry to Primary Schools, admission into Secondary Schools is based on meritocracy. PSLE results are used as key admission criteria. Discuss everything related to PSLE and selection of Secondary Schools here.

Hmph, they can join the normal tech course, or they will have to apply to assumption pathway/northlight

i thought if t-score is 150 can do normal acad in sec school ?

some school cut off at 188 for normal acad / express and if the kid do well enough at sec 1 under normal acad, can be promoted to sec 2 express

i thought normal tech are way below 150 t-score ?

maybe 150 is the borderline?

the highest T-Score in my NT class is 153.
Normal acad is in the range of 170.
it's a slightly-better-than-average neighbour school.

from what I know, there is no lower limit to NT.
in a previous school I was in, heard got one child scored 4 for his PSLE. don't know how he did it.

so I suppose there is no such thing as redo PSLE.

to answer ya Qn: 150 will can Normal Tech stream in any govt school offerring the course.

If you are not happy with the stream, u can
1. ask the child to work harder in Sec1 and get promoted to Sec 2 Normal Acad the next year; or
2. go to private school like St Francis Methodist, ACS International, Hwa Chong International, SJI International.

I know of someone who score 80+ in PSLE can go to Sec1 NT. According to the child there are students get lower than that in the school. Those who are not qualified to promote to Sec1 will retain at P6. So I think those retain could be lower than 70-80 range.

Can consider calling San Yu Seventh Day Adventist School in Thomson. Believe it is a private secondary school, not very sure, but roughly believe it is a private co-ed secondary school.
