Hi,

I’m interested in DSA Visual Arts for my daughter at St Margaret. Is there any minimum PSLE scores requirement for DSA to MOE schools?

Hi, is it possible to get the report book from my son's school to find the list of all my son's achievements/awards that are going to be shared with the DSA school? We are planning to apply. So we are not sure what to include and what to exclude, as he has participated in various competitions via school. Thanks
You can ask his school. I'm not sure what the policy is but I would think they'd be willing to help. Also, does the school usually send the HDP book home for signature at SA1 time? I would think most schools will distribute with the P6s' SA1 results. This should be before the DSA deadline of 1 June, although if you are itching to push the submit button ASAP you will need to ask the school.
Thank you SG_KP1. I think I should wait for SA1 result which will be there in the report book.

Wow I just saw this on SOTA’s FB post.

Online exhibition of the top 50 works from the SOTA Primary 6 Art Competition 2021:

The caliber of the winning entries are truly amazing!

2. What are the selection criteria?

Selection is based primarily on your merit in your area of talent. Click on the respective areas for more details on the selection process and criteria for Aesthetics and Sports.

Secondary school will have access to your daughter's P5 & P6 academic results so they may look at them as well.

If your daughter gets a CO and accept it, then she just need to achieve a PSLE score that qualifies them for a course offered by the school. For Express, it seems to be AL 22 from some secondary schools' websites. However, it is best to check MOE DSA website for updates or check with the specific school (in your case St Margaret) to confirm if it is AL 20 or AL 22 for Express.

All the best to your daughter :rahrah:

MGS DSA 2021

Dance is not a talent area in their DSA website.

Neither is it in MOE school finder (refer below)

Thx coast. I’m pretty sure a friend applied to MGS last year via Dance. I could be wrong though. Maybe she used STEM.

No worries. Yeah, I think MGS used to have DSA via Dance. Not sure whether it is removed this year or earlier. It is not unusual for schools to add or remove DSA talent area(s) from year to year.
