Can the dishes be frozen? If yes, then the part-time maid can spend the 3 hours cooking many dishes and freeze them in individual serving for lunch consumption for 1-2 weeks. Then your mom can thaw it and microwave it each time she needs lunch. Do you think it can work?

I think such food isn't healthy anymore.

Yeah... I agree. Same reason why canned foods are not as healthy. Better to consume food within at most 3 days after it is prepared. Refrigeration can help but should be used only for a short time.

hmm not sure, never tried before, because so far i am used to making all meals from scratch actually, so none of my family members are used to frozen foods, canned foods etc. At my mom's age not sensible to start anything new i feel, because she is generally healthy and i shouldnt mess it up!

For now worst case if i dont find anyone, i wake up early and prepare breakfast and lunch before leaving home( i tried with 5.30 am routine, it seems to work) dinner should be ok, we have something called dosa batter which we normally store in fridge for 3 days after making it once, with that mom can make idlis and dosas, its easy to make, for all of us

but with a help it will be much better of course
