Most parties consulted by the Manpower Ministry (MOM) have expressed a preference to remove an entry test for maids.
A spokesman said the MOM intends to announce the outcome of the review by the end of this year.
The ministry has been reviewing maid entry requirements, including the mandatory written test in English, to ensure they remain relevant to key stakeholders.
Since June this year, the MOM has consulted and received feedback from maids of various nationalities, maid employers, maid agencies, training providers and other organisations.

I guarantee there's more to this like maid day-off(s), salary etc
Strange? Did MOM really talked to maid employers or they just sit there, watch the computer and wait for feedback to come in?
