Renewal of filipino Maid Permit, Insurance etc

With most families being dual-income-with-kids, outsourcing home cleaning and home economics to domestic helpers is almost a way of life for Singaporeans. Come in and discuss issues pertaining to maids and home management.

Renewal of filipino Maid Permit, Insurance etc

Postby Whitewindy » Mon Aug 13, 2012 3:01 pm

Can anyone advise how do I do the renewal for filipino maid.

1) Renewal of Work Permit (WP) online on MOM website.

2) Renewal of Passport.
(How do I renew any advise)

3) Insurance for maid
(Which insurance provides the cheapest insurance)

Besides these above 3 for renewing maid. What else do I need to renew?

Many thanks in advance.

I renewed the following 3 through an agent cos its less of a hassle for us.

For passport renewal, the FDW needs a new contract that is authentificated through the Philippines Embassy. I think i paid a total of $300.00 for this service, including renewing the passport. Once ready, you or your helper will collect the passport from the agent.

For work permit and insurance, i did it through NTUC Income. their service is pretty good and fast. I paid them about $275 or $300 too...

So, to renew all these, be prepared to spend at least $600 - $700.00
