I want to caution anyone who is hiring INDO maid.

Just sent off my previous maid - Dede Mariyana (WP 006840191) DOB 22 Jan 1985. She was so evil.. She left a note in her room for my new maid saying "this employer always scold her for making mistakes and that she was so sad" I was taken aback that when my new helper told me this.

Dede was with me for 1yr 8 mths and during her employment with me, she had always been very irritating and childish. She can still make mistakes like using a pail basin that is used to soaking panty and floor cloth to wash vegetables... I was shocked to see this when I saw it as being with me for so long, she can make such mistake. Of cos I had to correct her mistakes. And recent months, she had been showing black face whenever told of doing something not correctly. Decided to let her off prematurely as I have never been comfortable with her and both my kids never liked her since day 1. Been actually tolerating... She even told my in-law's new maid, if you dont like your new employer, just keep making mistakes and dont bother to greet them, they will send you off to agent. What an evil muslim!!

Also, my current new maid (arrived on 18/8/12) Name: Istianik (WP 0 06049389) DOB: 13/05/1982 is not any good person too. Istianik (Arni) when interviewed, declared that she has no boyfriend, willing to accept 2 days off per mth (9am to 6pm) but when arrived, we chatted, she confess she has a boyfriend and told me she is uncomfortable with coming home at 6pm. She requested for 9am to 9pm or 10am to 10pm. But isnt 9am to 6pm already agreed before processing to get her work with me?? After working for 2-3 days, she told me she dont like to work in condo and prefers terrace house which she used to work in. Her reason was condo need to take lift, cannot talk to other maids while terrace hse has many neighbours and many ppl walk pass... Gosh!!! Isnt condo and flats common in Spore? She is definitely fishy... I am not even surprise she previously let her boyfriend enter the house via backyard while in condo (my place), there is tight security and many eyes around. These 2 days, we discovered that my hb's car wiper damaged - just got it replaced this morning $120 and also, just discovered 1 of my 4 drinking glass shattered above my kitchen cabinet. Wonder if she did it on purpose. Yesterday, she just told me she wanted to go back agent. Reason: On sat nite, I had friends came over for party, and when I was showering my daughter, she just came over to me and said "good Nite, mdm" I was shocked as no maids before will turn in before the kids go back to their room. It was 10.50pm at that time. Yes, I agree it was not early, being a saturday and that evening we had party at home, cant she just help up till the kids turn in? Next day, she approached me and chatted saying "why cant she go and sleep after she finish her work" I was just taken aback with her attitude. In fact, at 11pm, she was on the phone yakking away till past 12am and that is her routine. Looks like I have another "bad attitude" maid. Btw, my previous maid "dede Mariyana" is put up in Netmaid.com.sg (Agent: Amazing Employment) to re-apply to come back to SPORE to work. Just beware. As for my current maid, she also has bad attitude with boyfriend and yakking on the phone every night till past midnight, want long hours off days, want to keep her own $$ when we agreed in the presence of agent that I will keep for her.. All agreed, but when come onboard, request otherwise.

But why would you want to keep her money if she wants to hold it herself?
Best is open bank account and she can withdraw whenever she needs money.

I think becos if they have $ , they will go and buy laptops , smartphone and etc and hide in toilet to use them then need not work Liao

Dd, since your new maid has lousy attitude, no point to keep her. I believe she is a transfer maid? This type of maid only suits "Ang mo".

MOM really needs to give maid agencies more pressure to up their act and screen maids properly. Many of these maids clearly have no interest to work. They're unlike the maids of olden days who are very sincere and dilligent because they care about their families back home. These days, young maids who are single just want to earn money for their self-interest. They can't do the housework properly, refuse to accept corrections and can't get along with children.

This behavior is common even among the Filipinas. I agree with Minstral: maids these days are not interested in working as maids. It seems like they think Singapore is their playground, and they just want to come here and spend time making friends and poisoning the minds of other maids.

Unfortunately, if MOM puts pressure on maid agencies to screen maids properly, then the agencies will say they must raise their fees because of additional time and effort they will have to put in.

I don't think screening is enough. Training needs to be done properly too. I'm sure most of the maids daydream during their "training sessions". How many employers know how such sessions are conducted? How do we know the maid we employ really listened to the trainers and practiced everything to the trainers' satisfaction? It's not like the maids get a cert at the end of their training.

Just got my new helper, istianik (Ani) transferred out. Currently, sitting at Amazing agency waiting for her ideal employer.
She is the worst helper I ever had in my life. Gives me attitude, cold shoulder as though i owe her a living. She told me straight in my face
Thati was naggy? She complaints a lot and fussy about food. Complaint that staying in condo is boring, hassle to take lift, wants to eat breakfast that is bought, refuse to eat gardenia bread with peanut butter spread. Can't even clean a house properly, always still so dusty when I wake up. Toilet washing is only once a week, she only wipe and brush toilet bowl instead of splashing water and scrubbing. All these were caught in my video camera, she thought I wouldnt know.

Very revengeful and petty. Ignore my kids and walked away when my kids were rude to her. Kids being kids, so petty over their mischief.

To keep it short. I suspect she is here in spore to be with her boyfriend or even earn extra $$ by sneaking out at night to make $$. She used to stay in landed In her previous employer house, and told me she doesn't like condo and like to stay in landed on day 2 with me. During interview, she said no boyfriend, but admitted to me she has. Less than 1 week with me, she told the agent she wants to make mistake and mistakes so that I will transfer her out. I had treated her nice and never scolded her before. Conclusion... She is looking out to stay in a landed so that she has the freedom to sneak out at night. Beware of this maid....

Istianik (ani) is Currently on transfer. Beware of this maid. She is here to 'enjoy' and no heart to work. Her Cleaning sucks big time. I have to magic clean the floor everyday myself, floor is always so dusty. Take short cut and never follow instruction. Attitude problem, Cannot be told to follow my method, show black face!!!

Every night, would rush to finish washing and go back to her room to talk on the phone from 9 plus till 12 midnight. Some days, will even talk till 1am. Only interested to talk on the phone. House keeping is sucks!!!

You are so unlucky with maids. Last month you just send out your bad maid, now this new maid also not good.

Is both your maid from same agency? Maybe you should change your maid agency instead.

FTWParents need the helpers to take care of the kids and household chores, as we are working parents with no grandparents/parents/parent in laws to help us taking care of our younger kids when we r at work, on the other hand, we have added stress/problems with domestic helpers if we are "unlucky".....not easy for parents nowadays....
