Same maid bio-data found in 2 different agencies

What could be the reason?

Common pool of maids. Whichever agent sells the maid gets the commission.

Supply very low now.... Most agents using the same source of database. This is the result of supply low, demand high.

Exactly, mistral77. This is no surprise. The agencies share the same supplying sources. I remember seeing the same biodatas in so many shops on the same day at a mall. I was very comprehensive in my search then. So in the end, I went for the agency that charges the minimal for me and the maid.

Make full use of 'resources'

I interviewed one M-maid, she was totally a chicken and duck issue. Told agt no way I can communicate, she can't read or write in simple English.

Went downstairs to another agent, was talking half way, agt said, there... the transfer maid is here.... turned my back and saw the same M-maid.

I asked are you related to XXX, they said no but they are business partners.

Nowadays due to the restriction of incoming maids, many maid agencies in Singapore are using the same origin agent therefore maid biodatas are share among them.
